Our first stop is the scenic Topock Gorge and The Colorado River
Wildlife
refuge. You will see towering canyons of solid rock carved by the
Colorado River into a magnificent vista. Spectacular beauty made
for a memorable vacation. There are picture opportunities for
local birds,
water fowl and numerous varieties of fish...maybe a burro or a bighorn
sheep. You will see Petroglyphs / Indian Art...rich with the
history of
Tribal river life. It's an excursion of 40 miles punctuated with
the sights
and sounds of natures morning ritual. |

This tour allows you
to sample the beauty of Lake Havasu with stories
rich in History. I will tell you the story of Our London Bridge
and The English
Channel it created attracting thousands each year. The marketing
plan
of a Real Estate visionary who flew people in from across America.
We will
visit Copper Canyon which is rich with mining history and today's
Spring Break playground. You will see some of our 1/3 scale
working
replicas of famous American Lighthouses. 2 hours and
18 miles of fun, adventure and some local history. |

My favorite part of the day as we head for
South Lake Havasu and the world famous Copper Canyon. Points of
interest and the stories that go with them include Balance Rock, Red
Rock, Friendly Island, Goose Cove, Pilot Rock, Steamboat Cove and the
Sleeping Indian formed by three mountains
merging together to silhouette his image. Evening delights include Star
Gazing, the City Lights, The London Bridge and the Channel. It's a
late
afternoon adventure lasting till dusk...the perfect cocktail cruise. |
